A brief spiritual gathering will be held Wednesday outside a North Tacoma home where an elementary school teacher was beaten to death last week.
The Moment of Blessing for Robert Meline, 56, will begin at 3 p.m. at Meline’s home in the 900 block of North Union Avenue.
Meline was beaten to death in his home early Thursday. His son, Jonathan Meline, has been charged with first-degree murder.
The Associated Ministries sponsors the Moment of Blessing ceremonies at locations in Pierce County where homicides have occurred. The ceremonies are intended to provide support for the victims’ families, friends and the community where the crime took place.
The ceremonies are open to the public.
