Police Saturday arrested 18 teenagers they say were drinking at a party near Bonney Lake, at a house containing nothing but alcohol and a beer pong table.

A neighbor called 911 to report noise and youths, mostly 17- and 18-year-olds from Fife, arriving at the Inlet Island house.

The owner of the house had moved and left her 19-year-old son to stay at the home, according to Pierce County officials. He was arrested and charged with providing his residence for illegal drinking, as well as being a minor in possession of alcohol, authorities said.

Police released 14 other high schoolers after determining they hadn’t been drinking.

None of the teenagers needed to be hospitalized, but three were vomiting during sobriety tests, police said.

One youth was arrested for minor in possession, Pierce County officials said.
