Rain tomorrow could cause minor flooding of the Puyallup River near Orting, according to the National Weather Service.
Meteorologists expect a wet weather system to bring about an inch of rain overnight, which they say could cause the river to overflow in that area.
The flood watch issued is in effect from Monday morning through the afternoon. The watch means conditions are favorable for a flood, and that residents should monitor forecasts and be ready to act if the event happens.
A warning is issued when flooding is imminent or occurring.
