Several residents of the Williamsburg Apartments, in the 11200 block of Bridgeport Way Southwest, called 911 about 3:20 a.m. to report hearing gunshots. Some said they saw a man dragging another man into the parking lot.

The man followed officers’ orders to drop the gun and get on the ground. He was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder and has confessed to shooting the victim, Lt. Chris Lawler said.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He has not been identified.
