The incident occurred about 8:40 p.m. at the Waterford apartments, 23400 61st Avenue South.

Officers were called to the scene by several neighbors who reported hearing gunshots. They found the victim lying on the ground with a single gunshot wound to the torso. Witnesses saw several people fleeing the scene.

“We have a number of people that we’re questioning at this time,” Assistant Police Chief Pat Lowery said.
