Vandals shoot out 265 windows at Auburn schools

Vandals have shot out 265 windows at Auburn schools in the last few days, causing roughly $25,000 in damages.

School district officials first discovered the vandalism Monday morning. The shooters, believed to be wielding BB guns, hit another four schools Monday night.

There are no suspects. Surveillance footage taken from at least one school is being reviewed.

Cmdr. Mike Hirman said the Police Department is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s). Anyone with information is encouraged to call 911.

Affected schools include Auburn High School, West Auburn High School, Terminal Park Elementary, Pioneer Elementary, Dick Scobee Elementary, Olympic Middle School and the district pool.

Overnight Tuesday, 101 windows were busted out at Auburn Riverside High School.
