Today would have been the 31st birthday of Susan Cox Powell and supporters are celebrating with a song written in honor of the missing Utah mother and her two sons.
“Susan’s Song, ‘A Dream Away’” was posted online as a birthday gift “to thank everyone for years of prayers and support,” according to a Twitter account dedicated to news about Powell.
The 6 minute, 42 second song was written by a friend and includes a slideshow of photographs showing Powell with Charlie, 7, and Braden, 5.
The missing woman, originally from Puyallup, was reported missing Dec. 7, 2009. Investigators had been looking at her husband, Josh, in connection with Powell’s disappearance when he killed himself and the children earlier this year by blowing up his Graham home.
The song is available on iTunes and Amazon.com. Sale proceeds go toward memorials for Susan Cox Powell in Puyallup and West Valley City, Utah.
