Fife officers were called at 9 a.m. today to a burglary in the 6000 block of 28th Street East.

The homeowner had chased and held a women he found carrying personal items out of his home, police said.

The woman gave conflicting reports about whether another man had been with her at the time, officers said. She was taken into custody.

Police temporarily locked down Fife High School and Columbia Junior High during a K-9 search for the second suspect, they said.

All students and staff are safe, and the lockdown has ended.

No second suspect was found, officers said, but they are following other leads.
