A motorcycle-van collision in Kent was fatal Monday night, according to Kent Police and Fire.

Crews were called to the 8400 block of South 212th Street at 10:15 p.m., where 33-year-old man riding a motorcycle collided with a van and was ejected from his bike.

The Kent man, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash happened when the 44-year-old man driving the van, also from Kent, was driving west on 212th and started turning left, police said.

He crossed the path of the motorcycle, which was going east on 212th, and the bike hit the front of the van.

The driver of the van was not injured and remained at the scene.

Officials were investigating whether alcohol was involved, according to Kent police.
