Cigarettes taken in burglary of Tacoma grocery

Tacoma police said someone broke into a small grocery store Monday night and stole a large quantity of cigarettes.

Officers responded to the Handy Mart Grocery & Deli, 402 Tacoma Ave. South, after a burglary alarm sounded at 11:50 p.m. Police found the front glass door smashed and several packages of smokes gone.

A forensics crew processed the scene. No arrests were made.
