A Tacoma man was taken into police custody early Saturday morning after he shot up the door of a Pacific Avenue establishment with a .380 caliber handgun.

Police say the man had been angered by security guards at the business at 728 Pacific Avenue earlier in the evening. After closing time, at around 3 a.m., police say he turned and fired shots into the front door.

Officers had made contact with the suspect earlier in the evening and looked for him at his Tacoma residence. They took him into custody there and confiscated the weapon.
