Tacoma police responded to a pair of armed robberies shortly after midnight Saturday morning.

In the first, at a victim in the 3500 block of Portland Avenue said he was accosted by a man with a handgun who took his stereo, cell phone and wallet, then fled in a gray Dodge Stratus with three companions—another man and two women.

Minutes later,  a man pulled a handgun on an employee at the Safeway store on South 56th Street and demanded cash. Witnesses said he fled the store in a black Acura Integra.

Tacoma police say images of that  suspect were captured on video.
