Subway sandwich shop robbed in Tacoma

Tacoma police said an armed man robbed a Subway sandwich shop Wednesday night.

The man walked into the store, 5015 Tacoma Mall Blvd., about 5:20 p.m. He pulled a pistol from his waistband and pointed it at the cashier before demanding money.

He fled the business and darted into an alley, where officers believe he got into a car. A K-9 search did not find him.

The robber is described as white, 20-30 years old and 5 feet 10. He was wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses, a black shirt and jeans.
