Two people were injured early this morning in a head-on collision in Roy.

A 25-year-old man was driving a 1995 Lexus ES3 north on state Route 507 when he crossed into oncoming traffic near 323rd Street and struck a 2003 Ford Ranger pickup truck that was traveling south.

The collision occurred about 12:30 a.m.

Both drivers, a 25-year-old Roy man and a 61-year-old Roy man, were taken to St. Joseph Medical Center. Their conditions were not immediately known.

The Washington State Patrol is investigating the crash, and said it’s too soon to know if drugs or alcohol played a role.
