UPDATED: Christian Faith School, a private school in Federal Way, has identified the two teens who died Sunday while hiking near North Bend as Andrew Lusink and Ben Skagen.

Their Facebook page said pastors would be available all day for students.A prayer assembly was held this morning.

“Please pray for the Lusink and Skagen families,” school officials wrote on Facebook.

INITIAL POST: Two Federal Way teenagers died Sunday night after falling off a rock while hiking outside North Bend, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

The boys have not been identified.

Four boys were hiking near Otter Falls when the duo climbed on top of a rock near the falls and fell 100 feet. One of the boys stayed with his injured friends while the other ran five miles until he found two hikers to help.

The hikers tried to perform CPR on the injured teens and built a fire to keep them warm while the friend kept descending the trail until he found a U.S. Forest Service employee able to call 911.

The sheriff’s search and rescue team was deployed about 7:30 p.m. Snohomish County sent a helicopter to assist. The injured teens, ages 16 and 18, had already died by the time rescuers arrived.

The boy who ran for help was the brother of one of the teens who died, sheriff’s spokeswoman Cindi West said.
