Update, 3:32 p.m.: Crews found brush and a large pile of debris, containing tires and other car parts, on fire when they arrived, according to Tacoma Fire.
2:15 p.m.: Tacoma Fire says that the fire has been contained, and no structures were involved.

Firefighters are trying to contain a “pretty good sized” brush fire in Northeast Tacoma, Battalion Chief Dave McRoberts said.
The blaze was reported about 12:40 p.m. in the 5300 block of 12th Street NE. Six engines responded and crews are using a water tender and aircraft to dump water and foam on the flames.
It’s unknown what sparked the fire. No injuries have been reported.
