A 39-year-old man was hospitalized after being shot in the buttocks in his Spanaway home Tuesday  morning, Pierce County Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said.

Deputies were called to the 1900 block of 161st Street South at 10:55 a.m.

The man’s injuries were not life-threatening, Troyer said.

The victim and the shooter had an argument that led to the shooting, he added.

The two men knew each other, he said, but deputies were still working to identify the shooter.
