Puyallup police will be tweeting from @PuyallupPD, the department said today.

Officers will tweet photos and videos of crimes, information about missing and wanted persons, crime prevention tips and safety information, according to the department.

They’ll also use the account to get the word out about time-sensitive events, such as road closures, weather and in-progress crimes.

As the new site won’t be monitored, officers ask that emergencies still be reported to 911.
