A fugitive wanted for assaulting an elderly couple in Mason County during a home invasion robbery was arrested Thursday in Tacoma, authorities said.

The U.S. Marshal’s apprehension task force found Robert Michal about 5:20 p.m. at a home near S. 72nd Street and S. Sheridan Avenue and took him into custody.

Officials had said Michal may be living in Orting, but he told agents that he had been sleeping in Wright Park and wearing a hat and wig as a disguise.

Michal is the last of three men arrested in connection with a home invasion robbery in Lilliwaup. Authorities found him through a tip given to Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers.
