A 76-year-old woman reported missing Sunday from a Spanaway care facility was found safe at a Lakewood hospital.

Employees of the facility told Pierce County sheriff’s deputies the woman was last seen about 4 p.m. in the 19800 block of 16th Avenue Court East.

The woman apparently knocked on the door of a nearby home and asked for assistance. She was then taken to St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood, where she was identified and returned to the care facility.
