T-bone collision with injuries reported north of Wilkeson

UPDATE: Both patients have been taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to East Pierce. One was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital and the other to Good Samaritan Hospital.

It appears that a sedan T-boned a flatbed truck carrying lumber, which spilled and blocked Johns Road until 4 p.m, according to East Pierce. SR 165 stayed open, they said.

INITIAL POST: Crews are responding to a reported two-car T-bone collision with injuries on State Route 165  by Johns Road East, north of Wilkeson, according to East Pierce Fire & Rescue.

Firefighters at the scene are reporting two people with injuries and are requesting an additional medic unit, according to East Pierce. The roadway is blocked, they said.
