Seven people were displaced after a fire destroyed an Auburn house early this morning.

The blaze was reported about 2:30 a.m. in the 300 block of C St. NW. Firefighters from Valley Regional Fire Authority, South King Fire & Rescue and King County Medic-1 responded and found the two-story home fully engulfed in flames. Several nearby structures were threatened, officials said, but crews were able to douse the fire before it reached other buildings.

The occupants of the home were able to escape on their own. One was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. One VRFA firefighter suffered a minor injury after tripping and falling.

A cause has not been determined.
