Joseph Rosario may not have thought it was a big deal to kick out a window of a bus at a transit center in South Hill, but now he’s charged with second-degree malicious mischief.

The 28-year-old was arraigned Wednesday in Pierce County Superior Court.

The incident occurred Tuesday. When sheriff’s deputies arrived, they found the large window pane on the middle of the bus had been shattered and was “protruding out as if someone had kicked it with great force,” according to charging documents.

After being arrested and told what he was being charged with, Rosario allegedly retorted, “Big (expletive) deal. I kicked out a window.”

Officials said it costs $770 to replace the window, not including the cost of labor. The damaged bus also had to be temporarily taken out of service.
