After a brief chase Tuesday night, Tacoma police arrested a man who allegedly broke into a medical pharmacy and stole multiple bottles of pills.

Officers responded about 10:30 p.m. to the 1200 block of S. 11th Street, where witnesses reported seeing a man through a brick through the window of the pharmacy to gain entry.

Police pursued the burglar on foot as he tried to escape, and said he dropped several pill bottles as he ran. A K-9 unit was eventually called in to track the man, who was booked into Pierce County Jail on suspicion of second-degree burglary.

Several more bottles of pills were found on him after he was arrested.
