Two suspected car prowlers caught near Tacoma Mall

Tacoma police arrested two alleged car prowlers Sunday after finding stolen items in their vehicle.

Someone called police about 5 p.m. to report seeing two people break into a vehicle that was parked near Nordstrom at the Tacoma Mall.

Officers pulled the suspects’ vehicle over near S. 48th Street and Tacoma Mall Boulevard. Police spokesman Naveed Benjamin said stolen Ford products related to at least four car prowls were found inside.

A 28-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man were taken into custody.
