A Bonney Lake man who died Saturday after being struck by a truck near state Route 410 has been identified as Gary Slick.

The 47-year-old man was walking in the 10100 block of 214th Avenue East when he was hit about 5:30 p.m.

Slick  was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, where he later died.

Police arrested the driver, who initially left the scene but returned a short time later after allegedly buying a beverage at a convenience store.
