A 44-year-old Anderson Island man was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault Monday night after crashing into two stopped vehicle on Interstate 5, injuring one of the other drivers.
The Washington State Patrol said it believes drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision, which occurred at 5:15 p.m. near Porter Way.
The Anderson Island man’s 2003 BMW Z4 did not slow down for stopped traffic and struck a 1984 VT500C motorcycle, which was then pushed into a 2008 Honda Civic, troopers said.
A 36-year-old Tacoma man who was riding the motorcycle was taken to St. Joseph Hospital with injuries. His condition was not immediately known.
