Even knowing officers were sitting with his ex-girlfriend didn’t stop a man from repeatedly calling and threatening to kill her, Tacoma police said.

The woman filed for a temporary protection order against her former boyfriend Wednesday and police came to interview her at her home in the 1500 block of S. 9th Street.

While police were at the victim’s home, the ex-boyfriend called several times about 10:40 p.m. and made threats.

The man was not able to be located.

In a case like this I feel the lady should make herself very scarce. While in hiding she could aquire a weapon of choice so if he were to track her down she could defend herself. The law doesn’t seem to be able to help the people that are threatened by their exhusbands or exboyfriends and the victims always seem to end up in the morgue. It the perpetrator is tried and convicted,it also seems they will be sentenced to 20 years in prison but are releasd after serving less than 10 years.
