A 57-year-old Tacoma man is accused of threatening to stab his roommate’s 41-year-old son and then punching the victim’s mother in the mouth late Tuesday.

Police were called about 11 p.m. to a home in the 6700 block of S. Bell Street. The victims told officers that the melee erupted after the son sprayed water on the older man.

He allegedly grabbed a knife and threatened to stab the son, then punched the woman when she tried to intervene. The man fled in a Ford Explorer.

He has not been arrested but police said they know who he is. The man also has a warrant for his arrest from the state Department of Corrections for escape stemming from a 2010 arrest.
