Members of the public are invited to an open house to discuss the Stadium Way Arterial Improvement Project. The open house is tonight, Aug. 1, at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the first floor of the Tacoma Municipal Building, 747 Market St.

Representatives of the City and the contractor, Ceccanti, Inc., will be present to answer questions. Construction is under way and will continue into summer 2013.

Phase I will include work around Stadium High School and on Commerce Street. During this phase, North 1st Street and North ‘E’ Street will be closed to traffic and Commerce Street will have only one southbound lane open.
