I see way too many motorcyclists (sp?) driving wrecklessly. In and out of traffic, riding the bumpers of the car in front of them, high speed wheelies, on and on. I am surprised there aren’t more of these articles. Maybe there are, but the shooting articles trump them.

Everytime I ride, I get some punk on a crotch rocket that zips by me in MY lane doin 20-30 MPH over the speed limit. They should put power limiting governor devices on crotch rockets owned by those under 30 years old.

  4. Every time I ride I get some middle aged cager the “didn’t see” trying to run me off the road. Open your eyes people and you won’t have motorcyclist zip past you. We’re just getting out of traffic so we don’t get run over. BTW; I, like most riders now ride with camera’s – so smile.

fmrplt, you might be, but I’m talkin about the guys who are doin 90+. I ride safe and with the flow. been riding since 1979, and know what I’m doing. Too many don’t.

  7. fmrplt, good for you. One of the leading killers of young Soldiers over the past several years is motorcycle “accidents”. And the leading cause of those “accidents” is excessive speed combined with rider inexperience. A guy weaving in and out of traffic at 80-100 mph is not “getting out of traffic”. Granted, a lot of drivers don’t “see” motorcyclists, and it’s because they aren’t looking. and granted, sometimes the best way for a rider to avoid an accident is judicious use of acceleration. On the other side of that coin, a lot of motorcyclists, especially young guys on crotch rockets, aren’t “seen” because they are riding significantly faster than the flow of traffic. Not because it’s smart or legal or because they are avoiding another vehicle, but because they can. These are the riders who are killed most often. Like it or not, it’s a fact which is borne out by statistics. Do your homework first, spout off at the cake hole second. And there is no apostrophe in “camera’s” unless you’re talking about a camera possessing something. You know….camera’s lens, camera’s strap….geeze. Learn the laguage.
