The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department has taken into custody a University Place woman accused of a May bleach attack, spokesman Ed Troyer said.

Deara Lewis, 22, allegedly threw bleach in another woman’s face at a convenience store in May, because the victim testified against her baby’s father.

She has been charged with intimidating a witness, first-degree robbery and second-degree assault, and was booked about 2 p.m.

Details of her arrest were not immediately available.
