An Olympia woman came home late Monday and found an armed burglar in her apartment, police said.

The burglar escaped through a back door when the victim returned to The Evergreen Village Apartments about 11:45 p.m. She was not injured and it’s unclear what items were stolen.

Olympia police, assisted by Tumwater police and Thurston County sheriff’s deputies, searched the area with a K-9 unit but did not find the burglar.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Olympia Police Department at 360-753-8300 or Thurston County Crime Stoppers at 360-493-2222.
