Tacoma police arrested a cashier at a Tacoma Kmart Wednesday who is accused of taking $20 bills and replacing them with counterfeit bills.
The woman was confronted by loss prevention officers at the store, 1414 E. 72nd St., who reported the alleged forgery to police. Officers say she confessed to the crimes, which occurred for the last 1 ½ years.
She was booked into the Pierce County Jail on suspicion of 11 counts of forgery.
Police said they notified the Secret Service for follow-up on the case.
