Tacoma police arrest 2 found with stolen copper wire

Tacoma police said they arrested two men Tuesday who they found stripping and cutting stolen copper wire.

A neighbor reported seeing three people cutting wire behind a house in the 800 block of E. 62nd Street.

When officers arrived, one person fled and two were arrested.

A large amount of construction wire stolen from a site in Pierce County was found outside the house, Officer Naveed Benjamin said.

    Wrap the wire around their necks and hang them from a lamp post, as a warning to other junkies.
