Redmond police are looking for a man who broke into a woman’s apartment while she was studying early this morning and sexually assaulted her at knifepoint.

The attack occurred about 2 a.m. in the 8500 block of 148th Avenue NE.

Police said the suspect broke in through an unlocked sliding door. Officers did a K-9 search and determined that the man likely fled north through the parking lot before getting into a vehicle.

He is described as white or light skinned Hispanic with a medium build and a strong accent that is possibly Spanish. He was wearing a dark colored baseball cap, white t-shirt and a dark colored jacket or sweatshirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
