Jicorey Bradford, 30, was sentenced to more than 20 years in prison Wednesday for a drive-by shooting in Lakewood last October, prosecutors said.
A jury convicted Bradford of Assault in the First Degree, Drive-By Shooting, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm in the First Degree, and Possession of a Stolen Firearm.
Co-defendant James Gray, 25, was sentenced to more than seven years in prison. He was convicted of Drive-By Shooting and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm in the First Degree.
Police responded to a shooting in the 6100 block of Steilacoom Boulevard Southwest on Oct. 7, 2011.
Officers found the defendants’ vehicle nearby soon after and apprehended Bradford at the scene. Gray fled on foot and was arrested months later.
A victim told police he was driving with another person when the defendants waved them down and asked if they had a problem. The victims said they did not, and as someone in the defendants’ car fired two rounds, the victims drove away.
When the two cars met up a block later, 12 more rounds were fired.
No one was injured in the shooting.
