A man with a canister of pepper spray allegedly entered a store last night in the 7200 block of S. Tacoma Way and demanded money, according to Tacoma police.

The man put the money given to him in a backpack and fled on foot, police said.

Police brought in a K-9 unit to track the suspect, but were not able to locate him.

The incident is similar to another recent robbery, Tacoma police said, but it is not known if the incidents are related.

These robbers are bold & before midnight during hours of darkness, likely hard to see or know where they went upon leaving. The 7-11 surely has cameras to be reviewed for some help..

Actually I heard that Friday was the 85th anniversary of 7-11 openings years ago and were giving free Slurpee drinks away for the whole day to celebrate!

Years ago it seemed like 7-11 was one of the first quick mart type stores that were open at all hours.
