An Enumclaw woman has been charged in connection with beating her boyfriend’s 3-year-old son because he is not potty trained.

Chasity Dufour faces a single count of second-degree child assault. She is set to be arraigned July 19.

King County prosecutors allege Dufour abused to boy from April 30 to May 29, when he was brought to the hospital with severe injuries.

Dufour claimed the boy was playing on a bed when he fell and landed on a metal tool box. Investigators believe he was beaten when he did not make it to a toilet in time.

The boy suffered bruises from head to toe, is partially blinded and will have “lasting neurological and physical challenges,” according to court documents.

The child’s father was not involved in the alleged abuse.

Something needs to happen to this woman so she has lasting neurological and physical challenges. She is disgusting

  2. bobcat1a says:

The child’s father must be a moron.

  3. cclngthr says:

Not condoning this behavior, but I saw a report yesterday where the family claimed the boy has a blood disorder.

I rarely believe that. Such injury can be connected to physical abuse.

Poor baby. Horrid breeders. Hope the universe repays them for their actions.

How did he not know, or at least suspect anything? His child is covered in new bruises for a month and he simply accepts the story told to him? Great instincts there, bub.

    Poor child.

Any single parent needs to put their child’s needs above the needs of their girlfriend/boyfriend! When I was a young divorced woman, if my son was not treated well by someone I was interested in, the guy was history. After all, your child should be #1!

  7. EarthShepherd says:

Prayers for the child and for the mother. This pisses the crap outta me, and I just wanna smack her. AND, when I drop to her level, I’m no better. You can’t meet violence with violence. Only love heals. Hard, but true.

  8. Irritated says:

Why do they believe it was because he didn’t make it to the toilet in time? Not enough details.

the child is home and back to normal, can see just fine and is doing good, none of this was over potty training and before anyone judges they better make sure they are perfect. she did not beat him and yes he does have a blood disorder that can cause issues and yes he did fall off the bed and hit the tool box. when all the truth comes out people should feel ashamed. they only print what they want to make people look bad, maybe they should have all the truth, when they posted this report david was already home and doing fine… sick of the crap that the news puts out you cant believe half the stuff you read any more. maybe they should try the whole truth
