Searchers have found a footprint in the snow close to where a missing University Place hiker was last seen Friday in the Cascade foothills.

The search for missing 50-year-old John Wright continues today with about 40 personal, said sheriff’s spokesperson Sgt. Cindi West. They have about 30 searchers and a dozen horses working as part of the effort.

Another hiker reported seeing Wright on a trail Friday, and said Wright indicated he planned to explore the Green Mountain section of Snoqualmie National Forest.

Where they spoke and where Wright planned to hike are both close to where the footprint was found, West said.
