Stabbing victim taken to hospital after NE Tacoma beach party fight

UPDATE: A man was stabbed multiple times early Wednesday morning at a beach party, according to the Tacoma Police Department.

The incident happened off Marine View Drive near the mouth of the Hylebos Waterway around 1:30 a.m.

Tacoma police told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Rick Price there was a party on the beach with young adults. Two men, ages unknown, then got into a fight. One of them pulled out a knife and stabbed the other several times.

Police said the man was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center and has been in surgery as of Wednesday morning. Officers did not know if his injuries were life threatening.
