Police investigating motorhome that crashed into Federal Way home on test drive

The Federal Way Police Department was investigating a motorhome that crashed into a house while being test driven Friday afternoon, KIRO-TV reported.

South King Fire and Rescue told KIRO-TV that the vehicle had a mechanical failure that caused the 34-year-old driver to crash into a house in the 500 block of Marine Hills.

The driver had a head laceration following the collision.

No one was in the house at the time.

South King Fire and Rescue told KIRO-TV that a natural gas meter at the house was cut in the crash, which released gas into the neighborhood. That caused an evacuation until Puget Sound Energy could fix the pipe.
