Firefighters will hold a blood drive this Thursday to support a retired coworker who was diagnosed with cancer last year.
Part of firefighter John Moncrief’s treatment required blood transfusions, which South King Fire and Rescue workers hope to replace with the drive.
Moncrief was diagnosed months after retiring from a roughly 25-year career.
The event will be at the organization’s headquarters, Station 62.
Appointments can be scheduled by calling 206-228-4081.
