Amtrak passenger train hits, kills man on tracks in Puyallup

A man was killed tonight in Puyallup after an Amtrak passenger train struck him.

The incident occurred just before 6 p.m. at Inter and East Main avenues.

Amtrak Cascades train #516 was traveling from Portland to Bellingham when it hit somebody on the tracks, spokesman Steve Kulm said.

None of the 253 passengers or crew members aboard were injured. The train was delayed 80 minutes.

No information was immediately available on the pedestrian who died.

    That ‘common person’ was my brother, a 26 year old boy. How dare you. Who are you to say if he was loved or detested? For your information, he was loved very much and was coming to see his mother his sister and the three babies he was an uncle to when he was hit so I would like you to apologize and make a retraction and restatement about my brother. You should be more careful how you show your ignorance.
