Tacoma police reported an attempted armed robbery Friday night.
The crime was reported about 10:15 p.m. at a business on the 4300 block of East Portland Avenue, Tacoma police Lt. Jerry Laramie said.
A black male entered the business armed with a rifle. The proprietor approached the suspect and a struggle ensued. The suspect let go of the weapon and fled on foot.
Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
No arrest have been made as of Saturday afternoon, police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.
