A pickup hit a State Patrol car that was parked on the shoulder of eastbound SR 512 by 94th Street at about 5:45 a.m. this morning.

The trooper had just finished a traffic stop and was doing paperwork, when the Chevy S-10 pickup left the roadway onto the shoulder, striking the patrol car – Washington State Patrol trooper Guy Gill said.

The trooper and driver were not hurt.

The driver is being evaluated to see if he was impaired, Gill said.
