South King fire will recognize a man for saving the life of a 78-year-old fisherman earlier this month.
The fisherman lost his balance in a small boat while on Steel Lake on June 19, falling into the water.
Jeffrey Ballard, the man being recognized, helped get the fisherman to shore and 911 was called. The fisherman was later released from a local hospital in good condition.
Ballard will receive a plaque at a fire commissioners meeting this afternoon.
