A 26-year-old Bonney Lake woman may have avoided abduction by calling 911 Friday, troopers say.

She told troopers that she was “afraid to pull over,” after noticing that a man in a black BMW was following her on Interstate 5 by Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

The vehicle followed her when she would change lanes, and kept behind her as she continued to SR 512 and then SR 410, where it was stopped by troopers near the Sumner Buckley Highway

When troopers identified the man driving, they learned the woman had a protection order against him related to a domestic violence case in Lacey last month.

He also had a woman’s wig, sunglasses, black gloves and duct tape in the vehicle.

Troopers arrested the man on the felony charge of violating the protection order, and the investigation is ongoing.

He was on bail at the time for charges that included rape, kidnapping and burglary in the first degree while armed with a deadly weapon, and felony harassment.

OK when I read the title of the article I started to laugh – I was like, “Oh come on.” But after reading the article – Wow – what a sick person. Good for her for being aware and alert of her suroundings.

pgroup – what are you saying? Oh, no, no, no. The poor thing has rights. And he had a bad childhood. And besides it’s her fault. Or his mother’s. Might be his teacher’s…at any rate, he’s the victim here. He just needs a good social worker to straighten the rest of us out….

  7. Regfool2 – I hope that was an attempt at a joke or else you really are a fool.

The police report said: “The driver of the BMW was identified as 28 year-old Aaron M. Johnson of Lakewood.”

Some added charges and his car could be impounded plus loose his bail bond.

I keep a file of stories like this one, so when my daughter is older I have many examples of how many creeps there are in the world and how she should be cautious as was this woman. Good for her for calling the cops. At some point, she needs to shoot this jerk in the head.

Our children are learning safety everyday from parents, teachers, friends and others, but also need to know right from wrong plus use common sense in the choices they make.

When parents give such bad example, their children learn things wrong.

Many of these men are war combat veterans with brain injuries. Some have killed a buddy, family member and also themselves. I think this man needs to remain confined, possibly in a mental unit, prison hospital or supervised care.
