Lakewood police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who burglarized the Kwiki Mart last month.

The burglar used a crow bar to pry open the doors of the store, 12336 Pacific Highway S.W., about 1 a.m. May 21. He then jumped over the counter and stole “a large quantity of cigarettes,” police said.

He left behind the crow bar and carried off the cigarettes in a black bag.

The burglar is described as a light-skinned black man in his 20s or 30s, 5 foot 10 to 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing a light-colored T-shirt, black sweat pants with white stripes, black gloves with a white design on the back and a white ball cap turned backwards.

Anyone with information may call the Lakewood Police Department at 253-830-5000 or the department’s tip line at 253-830-5064. Tipsters may also call Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers at 253-591-5959.
