Kent police are searching for an alleged gunman they believe shot a 26-year-old Federal Way man early Sunday.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Aliver Coria Sanchez, 27, of Seattle.

Police said Sanchez fought with the victim at a nightclub in Federal Way Saturday night and then followed him to the 23400 block of 30 Avenue South in West Kent.

Sanchez is accused of opening fire on the victim during a drive-by shooting, hitting the man once in the leg. The victim was treated at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and released.

It’s unknown what caused the fight.

The vehicle Sanchez is believed to have used in the shooting is also being sought. It is described as a black 1996 four-door Nissan Maxima with license plate number AHZ1979.

Police said Sanchez may be in the South Seattle or Yakima areas.
